From September 1961 to October 1965, only 2,729 units of the 220 SEb convertible rolled off the assembly line in Sindelfingen. One of the last examples from June 1965 we offer you with this wonderful vehicle on customer order. A flower wholesaler from the Rhine-metropolis Cologne registered the vehicle for the first time on 22.06.1965. The cardboard letter in the original proves it impressively: in the 55 years that the vehicle has been on the road, only 6 previous owners in the open S-Class have slid along.
The current owner fell in love with the shiny black lacquer dress of the open five-seater, which apparently the previous owner - a coachbuilder from the Ruhr area - had chosen for the vehicle. According to records, the vehicle was delivered in metallic copper. However, it looks good on him, the black paint with black top and a well-preserved leather interior in parchment. A good decision, we think.
Technically, the vehicle is in no way inferior to its external appearance. The car drives, shifts gears and brakes as befits an S-class. All in all a great opportunity to acquire an honest vehicle with a proven history.
